Visiting The West Highland Museum couldn't be easier. We are situated just off the main pedestrianised High Street in Fort William at Cameron Square, a ten-minute walk from both the bus station and the rail station. Street parking in Fort William is very limited but the town's main public car parks are all within a 5-10 minute walk from the Museum. Download our introductory leaflet here.
Admission is FREE and we have free WIFI too.
The Museum shop stocks an eclectic selection of books on a range of topics, from specialist titles for the historian, to introductory titles for children, as well as a selection of gifts; crafts, glassware, souvenirs, toys and the 'Commandos in Training and at War' DVD.
Popular titles include 'Bygone Lochaber' by Somerled Macmillan, 'Castle Commando' by Donald Gilchrist and 'Romantic Lochaber, Arisaig and Morar' by Donald B MacCulloch.
