The West Highland Museum has an exciting new vacancy for an experienced part-time Administrator, based in the West Highland Museum, Cameron Square, Fort William. Reporting to our Curator Manager, this person will carry out key administrative duties including cash handling, record keeping and working with our customer database.
We’re looking for someone who has administrative experience and has worked with Microsoft Office and Excel. Training will be given in our systems and processes.

Job Description: Administrator
Hours: 15 p/w
Salary: £11/hr
Reporting To: Curator Manager
Purpose of the role: To ensure that all general administrative and financial tasks associated with the museum are carried out accurately and timeously.
Main Duties:
• Maintaining records of visitor numbers, sales and donations
• Cash handling of shop sales and donations
• Reconciling bank statements
• Preparing invoices for payment
• Assisting with the completion of grant applications
• Administering the CRM system
• Compiling written reports and papers for the Curator Manager, Board & Committees
• Handling incoming calls
Other duties
• Prepare monthly wages & end of year P60s
• Make quarterly HMRC payments
• Send Monthly Nest Pension payments
• Record membership and Adopt-a-Showcase payments
