Friday evening saw the museum buzzing with guests for our ‘Jacobite evening at the museum’. It was the first event of this year’s Jacobite Festival and a wonderful evening of history, food and chat.
A big thanks to Drambuie for their interesting talk on their family history, as well as tasters of cocktails expertly created by Andy and Freddy. Ardgour Ales donated two of their ales for everyone to try and Farmstead Fayre created a wonderful tasty buffet for guests to enjoy before they browsed our Jacobite gallery.
We also held a raffle which was drawn at the Glenfinnan Highland Gathering on Saturday afternoon. Thank you so much for our generous donations from local businesses Glenfinnan Candles, Fassfern Highland Gins and also our well stocked museum gift shop.
We are so thankful to everyone who came along to make this event such a success, and we look forward to hosting more in the future.
