You did it! A BIG thank you to all our lovely donors! We have successfully raised more than £30,000 over the last 30 days in our Art Happens crowdfunding campaign to bring a prestigious collection of paintings to Scotland. Everyone here at the West Highland Museum is proud and excited by the support we have received for our project to Bring Bonnie Prince Charlie and his family back to Scotland for our centenary celebrations in Summer 2022. Thanks to you, our visitors will be able to enjoy this iconic art exhibition of 18th century Royal Stuart portraiture.
The museum called on the public to back their Art Happens crowdfunding campaign this month to Bring Bonnie Prince Charlie and his family back to Scotland. Thanks to enormous public support, more than 175 funders have secured this iconic exhibition for the museum which will open in August 2022 as part of their centenary celebrations.
Chair of the Board of Directors, Ian Peter MacDonald said “We have reached our target thanks to the assistance of local people and businesses who contributed to our campaign. This support recognises that the museum is at the heart of the local community.”
