We’re really excited that the museum will be featuring in BBC Scotland’s Grand Tours of Scotland’s Lochs series on Wednesday 24th March 2021.
In this fascinating travel series Paul Murton sets out to explore the lochs of Scotland, travelling from the wilds of the west coast to the Grampian Mountains, discovering the secrets of these iconic features of the Scottish landscape.
Other episodes in this series have featured Lochaber too. Episode 4 saw Paul visit Kinlochleven and episode 5 focused on Highbridge, Loch Lochy and other fantastic Lochaber locations.
The museum will feature in episode 6. In September 2020 Paul and his crew visited the museum to film with us. In this programme Paul chats with our curator, Vanessa Martin, and finds out more about some of the iconic Jacobite artefacts in our collection, including a recently acquired hidden portrait snuff mull.
The episode will be broadcast at 8pm and will be available afterwards on BBC iPlayer.
